Summary
We are in search of a proactive and detail-oriented Personal Injury Case Manager who can not only handle the primary responsibility of managing clients in the pre-suit phase but also provide secondary support to our litigation paralegals.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in consistent communication, both via telephone and in person, with existing and prospective clients.
- Efficiently screen, onboard new clients, and maintain the pace of cases.
- Order and review medical records, maintaining open communication lines with healthcare providers and clients throughout treatment.
- Procure necessary documentation to validate injuries and/or ascertain liability.
- Liaise with insurance firms and medical providers to obtain records, ensuring accurate account balances.
- Deduce outstanding medical bills with healthcare providers and keep exacting detail as to what records are retained and outstanding
- Cooperate seamlessly with multiple colleagues for efficient case file management and support.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive case files.
- Prepare detailed demand packages, accumulating relevant documentation for carrier submissions under attorney supervision.
- Periodically update staff on case statuses and present case summaries as and when required.
- Oversee case progression, from intake to conclusion, under attorney guidance.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a legal, medical, or insurance role; previous Case Manager experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrated negotiation abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to follow procedures and prioritize tasks.
- The drive to proactively engage in workflow, case development, and communication with all involved parties.
- Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision and a positive approach.
- Exceptional writing skills with minimal errors and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
